It has finally come to pass. Smackdown and the CW have parted ways and it’s now time for a new era of the blue show to commence on MyNetwork.TV.networkTV. Not a bad outing but I do wonder how much ratings are goind to drop off in the coming weeks if at all.

So here we are, Unforgiven 2K8. We start from the opening bell of the SD! Scrumble and pretty much recap all the way through it then run through sans-break until the end. Not a bad PPV but certainly not exceptional. The big reveal at the end could have been handled way better though.

Live* from the Smackstrodome we bring you the XX-Seventh edition of Rawmentary 2008. This week we’re doing Smackdown and by garsh it wasn’t that shit. It was nice to see Jeff and Trip and there was a good promo vid for Ron Killings’s return as R-Truth. We get into a good discussion about the expansion of TV distribution of wrestling here in the UK suggesting that Sky and Channel 5 use their relationship to enable an expansion of the wrestling audience by showing either a new heat or perhaps ECWWE on 5 and heavily promoing other WWE programming on Sky or even TNA on ITV4. Enjoy!

OK, so this week was a bit of a mixed bag, I mean sack. You had Kane finally reveal that his sack contained one of Rey’s old sweaty masks thereby finally proving that the whole “Is he alive or is he dead?” thing was a pile of ill-though out bullshit recycled from when he “killed” Taker a couple of years back. We all know Rey’s been out with injuries and never thought he was dead especially as he’s been dark knighting it up in the Slumberslam trailers. Speaking of which, the card is looking mighty weak I must say. Oh and here’s some audio show that we recorded (secondary to my mini-rant you must understand!).

Fairly interesting week this week, I’ve been lazy as fuck in putting this bitch up and, quite frankly, can’t quite remember what happened but I do remember it being interesting what with Mike Admlemanager and Shane O’Mac and all t’wasnt a terrible Raw. Which is about the nicest thing one can say about WWE programming these days.

Stupid Charlie Haas, stupid Vince McMahon, stupid pretty good Raw. That’s right zlotniks, despite the continuation of Mee Ron Do Raghhh Mess this weeks raw was pretty entertaining what with the back and forth between Trip and Cena at the start Y2J being all up ons Flair as a heel and such twas a mighty fine Raw in this day and age. Draft next week and Carlito being a dick were fairly prominent areas of discussion this week. Oh shit, almost forgot to mention the amazing Beach Babe Bikini Booyah Booyah Booyah blast bonerific bash Booyah. All I can say about that is, yummy yummy yummy and thanks Jillian for keeping your robe on.

Well what a wasted opportunity that was. William Regal, a steady mid-card talent whose in-ring glory days are gone but with a promising and potentially long career as a personality ahead of him is King of the Ring! The chance to give a worthy, young and eager worker on the way up a solid push has been truly squandered in what I’m declaring the botch of the year so far. Come on WWE creative you can do better than this, we all know it. Why are talents like Elijah Burke, Jimmy Wang Yang, JTG and many others being overlooked and ignored in the purgatory of heat and ECWWE?

Raw was kind of mediocre on the front end of the Japan tour with the main event being a damn arm-wrestling match between Cena and Grilla which seemed to make practically no sense. We did our best to stay lively after stuffing ourselves stupid in the pre-show but that combined with the lackluster showing combined to make mostly just inane chatter combined with several moments of giddy hilarity.
