Small note, there will be some downtime for some of the previous episodes as I hit our storage quota this week and am re-encoding the old episodes at a lower bit-rate. There will be no noticeable drop in quality but I am managing to cut the filesizes in about half.

Live* from the Smackstrodome we bring you the XX-Seventh edition of Rawmentary 2008. This week we’re doing Smackdown and by garsh it wasn’t that shit. It was nice to see Jeff and Trip and there was a good promo vid for Ron Killings’s return as R-Truth. We get into a good discussion about the expansion of TV distribution of wrestling here in the UK suggesting that Sky and Channel 5 use their relationship to enable an expansion of the wrestling audience by showing either a new heat or perhaps ECWWE on 5 and heavily promoing other WWE programming on Sky or even TNA on ITV4. Rawmentary 2008 XX-Seven - Who knew we were going to make it this deep into numbers?: Play Now | Play in Popup | DownloadOK, so this week was a bit of a mixed bag, I mean sack. You had Kane finally reveal that his sack contained one of Rey’s old sweaty masks thereby finally proving that the whole “Is he alive or is he dead?” thing was a pile of ill-though out bullshit recycled from when he “killed” Taker a couple of years back. We all know Rey’s been out with injuries and never thought he was dead especially as he’s been dark knighting it up in the Slumberslam trailers. Speaking of which, the card is looking mighty weak I must say. Oh and here’s some audio show that we recorded (secondary to my mini-rant you must understand!).

So, here we are, a quarter of a century of Rawmentaries. The Adamle era has begun and boy does it stink. Still though, not an awful show and I think we had fun.
Fairly interesting week this week, I’ve been lazy as fuck in putting this bitch up and, quite frankly, can’t quite remember what happened but I do remember it being interesting what with Mike Admlemanager and Shane O’Mac and all t’wasnt a terrible Raw. Which is about the nicest thing one can say about WWE programming these days.
So here we are with a brand new Rawmentary for you. A slightly poor and disjointed Raw this week but I think we managed to make enough fun of it for the show to be entertaining. So, what mysteries does Kane’s burlap sack hold? Where are they going with Cena? Who will be the next Heavyweight champ? These are just a few of the questions not answered this week on Rawmentary.

So there’s no real point in attempting to follow this one as it’s a VHS recording of an SD! ep from January 2002 in what was an amazing era for the WWF. I sincerely hope we see an SD! as good as this again in the near future!
So here I sit in sunny Slough learning stuff I already know (pretty much) bored shitless quite frankly but I can’t be all glum as it gives us a great opportunity to put up a Shelf of the classic main event from the classic PPV that was Royal Rumble 2001. So unblock your awesomeness receptors and prepare to enjoy the likes of Drew Carey and oh yes, The Rock.
So the draft is over (hope the title didn’t spoil it for anyone) and it was certainly a major shakeup, a lot better than expected for sure. This is a special week though it’s time for the first annual Rawmentary.com awards. To commemorate the sort of one year anniversary since our first show we have decided to give out awards to the most deserving individuals in the WWE. Enjoy people.
